Emmanuel Thaunier elected President of Rennes School of Business

Rennes School of Business announces the election of Emmanuel Thaunier as its new President, following a vote by members at the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 21 February. He succeeds François Chatel, who chaired Rennes SB for 10 years.

The School is continuing its trajectory of development, which is now capitalising on a new strategic plan launched on 30 January this year and led by Adilson Borges, Executive Director and Dean.

Emmanuel Thaunier graduated from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in 1990 with a DEA in Banking and Finance. He began his career in marketing audit at AVL Incorporate in New York. He then joined Concept SA as Associate Director, before becoming Chairman of Teletec, until the creation of E-solutions in 2000, an IT company specialising in collaborative platforms.

 

This former national vice-president of the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants (CJD) was a member of the Rennes Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2004 to 2010, before becoming its president from 2010 to 2016, and then that of the llle et Vilaine Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2016 to 2021, following the merger of the Chambers. At the same time, he was Vice-Chairman of CCI Bretagne from 2010 to 2021.

 

Emmanuel Thaunier has been elected for a 3-year term.

The new 2024-2028 strategic plan, in addition to reaffirming our historic international roots, aims to make Rennes School of Business a leading European school of management of and through Innovation. The Unframed Leaders who graduate from this school will be able to face up to the major changes affecting the business world, with a full understanding of the impact of their decisions“.
