What is your career path?

I enjoyed being part of the 1st class of IT Business Manager program, a work/study training program from the School.

At that time, I didn't really know what kind of job I could get with that diploma... Right after my 2nd year's internship, I started the work / study training program, without doing a placement year., by joining the team "Business Manager" of Finaxys (IT consulting firm specialised in finance) created 4 years before by Guillaume Blanchetière (class PGE 7 ESC Rennes).

Can you explain what your job is?

Business manager's job is formed around 3 routes :

  • Sales, because I'm in charge of developing major account clients portfolio: market research, appointments, candidate's presentation, negociations, contracts follow-up...
  • Headhunter, because I have to recruit the consultants who will form my teams: social networks and job boards hunt, recruiting interviews, briefings...
  • Manager because I manage my consultants serving in my clients companies:  monitoring, setting up goals, annual points, etc.

Thus, it is a really comprehensive job, easy to reach when finishing School... This attracted me at first.

What are your priorities inside the network?

Encourage meetings between Alumni and students and create privileged exchanges among Alumni in order to build up the strength of our network !

One of my goals is also to bring students and school closer to the reality of job market  - especially its programs and strategic orientation.

One example : since I started working at Finaxys, we recruit at least one student of IT BM program every year. We are now 8 Alumni ! Out of 30 people, it's a nice growth !

Which association's development projects are important to you?

Besides of the Entrepreneurship awards to come, a lot of association's projects are related to actions lead by our different clubs.

The goal is to connect every member's interest and skills to at least one club, and thus contribute to get in touch with the whole network.

What is the next action you will lead for the network?

I am in charge of IT club. It gathers sector professionals (software editors, consulting firms, service providers, IT buyers, etc.), and also, promote this job among students.

We already organised several meetings : conferences or afterworks. Every time, no lack of diversity of profiles and a friendly atmosphere !

Our next event will be dealing with "Entrepreneurship and IT". Alumni who created their companies will share their experiences, such as :Finaxys of course, but also Agap 2 IT, Néo-Soft, Davéo, SII... And more others !
