A new perspective on territory
Maxime Blondeau is an author, lecturer and cosmographer. More than 190,000 subscribers follow his daily posts on LinkedIn. He teaches at Sciences Po Paris and Mines Paris Tech on the theme of territorial perception. He is also a columnist for RFI - Radio France Internationale. Géoconscience, his first book, was published in October 2024.
In this lecture, Maxime will introduce us to cosmography: the science of representing territory. How does this representation influence our collective relationship with space and time? What role can this perspective play in our use of resources, our relationship with the climate, water, living things and, more generally, the world, the territory and the environment? He will take us on a journey from the planetary atmosphere to the local area near our homes through maps, satellite views and photographs to transform our view of the territory.

PORTRAIT
Maxime Blondeau is 39 years old and lives in Brittany with his family. Originally from Beaujolais, he has lived in China and Rome.
A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, Neoma Business School, and the University of Toulouse in anthropology, he is a member of the Geographical Society and lectures throughout the French-speaking world, in Italian and English.
